Clover Restaurant POS: Hardware, Fit and Fees to Check
Clover restaurant POS is one of the systems we see most on restaurant statements. Clover is owned by Fiserv and sold by Fiserv, by banks and by many independent providers, so two restaurants on the same Clover POS hardware can pay very different amounts. Here is who Clover fits, the hardware lineup from the Clover Mini POS up, and what to check on your statement.

Clover at a restaurant or bar
For restaurants, Clover can fire orders to the kitchen from the counter, a takeout window or online, and it includes tip management and employee tools. A kiosk lets guests order for themselves at a quick-service counter.
For bars, a Flex lets staff take payment at the table or along the rail while a Station or Mini runs the register. Check how tabs and pre-authorization are set up on your account, since that depends on your provider and settings.

Clover questions
1What is the difference between Clover Mini and Clover Station?
Clover Station is a countertop POS for the main counter, in a Solo or Duo version. Clover Mini is a smaller all-in-one countertop POS that can run on its own or face the customer next to another device.
2Is Clover a good restaurant POS?
It can be. Clover covers counter service, tableside payments with the Flex, kitchen displays and self-ordering kiosks. Whether it is the right fit depends on your volume, your service style and what you are paying for it.
3What Clover POS hardware does a bar need?
Most bars run a countertop device at the register and a handheld, such as a Flex, for the floor or the rail. The right mix depends on how many stations and servers you run.
4Why do two Clover accounts cost different amounts?
Clover is sold by Fiserv, by banks and by many independent providers. Each one sets its own processing price, software plan and hardware terms, so the same device can cost very different amounts.
5Can you review a Clover statement?
Yes. Send one recent statement, all pages. We separate the Clover software plan, the hardware and the processing so you can see each one.
